乐动体育Whether you celebrate spring break by attending religious services, dining out or hunting for eggs, there’s a few local options for celebrating Easter.
乐动体育The Kingsburg Center is carrying on a 15-year tradition of hosting a community Easter Egg Hunt that brings together seniors and children in the community.
“The residents really love to watch the children,” said Maryann Carrillo, who helps organize the event. The Kingsburg Center is a skilled assisted nursing facility. She said that oftentimes children have grandparents or great-grandparents who reside there.
The hunt is open to children up to age 12 and participants must be accompanied by a parent. The hunt itself is at 2 p.m. March 23 and the center is at 1101 Stroud Ave. Children should bring their own basket. There is no cost to attend.
乐动体育To make the search fair for all ages, the children hunt in three groups, Carrillo said. Extra eggs are set aside in case children are unable to find any. There is also several golden eggs that kids can find that will give them extra prizes, such as coloring books, candy, egg-dying kits and other items.

“Once they find eight eggs, they can continue looking for the golden egg,” Carrillo said. “We love watching the kids go out. That moment when they just scatter.”
Light refreshments will be served prior to the hunt and the Easter bunny will be on hand for photographs.
The Easter bunny will also make an appearance at the Spike ‘n Rail Steakhouse in Selma for its annual Easter Brunch Buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Food and Beverage Director Tim Candelaria said the restaurant will decorate its 25-foot buffet table with purple and yellow eggs. The buffet will offer a variety of breakfast and lunch items. It will include a meat-carving station, waffle station and omelet station. The menu also features smoked ribs this year.
The brunch event will also include live soft rock music by Manny English and a performance by balloon artist Steve Ming. The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance.
乐动体育“I love seeing the families getting together and having a good time, and even riding the train,” Candelaria said. Brunch attendees may take the mile-long ride on the miniature train, which loops around three ponds on the grounds.
